Practice Complex Vowels

Use these books to practice words with complex vowel sounds. These vowels spell sounds that are different than both the short and long vowel sounds. Some teachers may call these vowel teams, vowel diphthongs or sliding vowels.
Example Words: moon, shout, toy, daw

Roll & Read: use these word lists to practice reading words with your child. You can have them roll a dice and then read one word or all the words under the number they roll. You can also play together and take turns rolling and reading words. This is also a great time to ask them questions about what the words mean and teach them new words.
