Practice VCE (Vowel-Consonant-E) Words

Use these books to practice VCE words with your child. When a vowel is followed by a consonant and then an 'e' at the end, that vowel will sound like its name. Some teachers call these "magic e" or "bossy e" words. 
Example Words: bike, late, home, mule

Roll & Read: use these word lists to practice reading words with your child. You can have them roll a dice and then read one word or all the words under the number they roll.  You can also play together and take turns rolling and reading words. This is also a great time to ask them questions about what the words mean and teach them new words. You can find an electronic dice roller by scrolling down to the bottom of this page.
